Humble, proud and greatful
Just for a second I needed to pull myself away from planning & emails and step back to think : WOW !
Looking at my page and seeing that we have now more than 5800 likes and even more followers makes me feel very humble, proud and very greatful !
I started on this adventure only a few years ago, wanting to learn more about the effects and working of bridles, bits and other materials on the horse biomechanics.
As I was sure there was more to it than meets the eye!
It has been a whirlwind roller-coaster ride, that is for sure !
What I learned was so mind blowing I just had to share it with every rider and horse owner I know ! But realising you can’t reach out to enough people that way, just one at a time, I started the company and could openly help communicate the findings of many studies and analyses.
Even before the big explosion of ‘anatomic’ lines I was already focussing on ergonomics. And the science behind everything.
At heart I am very analytic, but in my case it doesn’t mean I don’t function on ‘feeling’ things when it comes to horses.
Being a rider myself, it has helped me in many ways too.
Of course putting yourself out there is always a small risk. In this world of people that feel offended quickly… Which is why I always try to just give the information… and let you think for yourself and do with the info you want to.
I have to say the huge response and reaction to Bridle & Ride are cool and a little unexpected too.
As with any project I dive in head-first, I am very determined and passionate about what I do.
I can honestly say what we do at Bridle & Ride is one of a kind. Yes, there are others that do thing similar to us, but all the others have their own vision and take on things.
The diffierence is in the details, but very much in the vision !
Bridle & Ride truly is one of a kind. And yes we too grow and evolve.
I can’t really remember how long it has been that my life has been quite like a ’normal’ life is. Work - rest - ride - sleep - repeat… How do you do that?
And yes days do flow from one working day to another without a break until my body tells me,… "you need a day of sleep to catch up, woman!"
But the love, gratitude, …
the fantastic results from horses make up for it ALL.
Because Rome wasn’t built in a day, we are doing our best to grow and get an even better structure and filter out the problems we have encountered in the passed.
But luckily, we are open to change and to learning from passed mistakes. And this we could not do without the many wonderful riders and horses that have already come on our path !
So a BIG thank you to everyone that has helped shape me further, you all make Bridle & Ride bigger and better too.
Of course we don’t stand still, and we are always learning more, to help our clients more too. Because with every new puzzle that comes on our path we look for a solution.
What started as a hobby, grew into a passion, and is now a way of life. It gets under your skin, and in your face: like a dog sniffing your nose. Sniffff !
You just can’t get bored of something that stimulates you to learn more and grow further.
But you have to stay open minded and open hearted… and aware of what’s happening in the world and around you and listen to what is needed.
There are always new products, new studies, new… everything to check out/test/analyse… and learn to use ! And more and more it is proven that scientific findings DO help in training and DO help us understand things better.
Keeping this in mind, I think you understand that at times it is slightly harder for you to contact me.
When behind the scenes we are studying items, testing and also designing things we don’t have enough time to reply all messages and mails right away.
But we do our best !
But if you have a little patience. We will give you all the same detailed attention, but we can only do that one-at-a-time.
